Front upper tubular control arms for lowered 73-87 Chevy and GMC C10, C15 and C1500 trucks. Designed to be used CoolRide air suspension system or as factory replacements.

Development – StrongArms are developed by Ridetech® in Jasper, Indiana on an actual running, driving vehicle. This allows us to properly address ALL fitment and performance issues. It also allows us to document an installation, demonstrate the installation to our sales techs and dealers, and allows ongoing evaluation of the performance of the StrongArms

Design – We think the best way to design any component is to keep it simple. That is why Strong Arms are designed with as few components as possible. They are manufactured in-house on our 4 axis tubing bender that allows precise, repeatable bends that no other machine can achieve. We can create elegant tubing bends that would otherwise require several separate welded components. The perimeter of the StrongArm is contoured to allow maximum wheel clearance and turning radius.

Components – Powder coated in a satin black finish and completely assembled with ball joints, bushings and cross shafts. To reduce deflection and stiction from the suspension movement Injection Molded Delrin Bushings are used, which are also impregnated with Teflon to eliminate the need for lubrication.

Geometry – Properly designed control arms will add more positive caster and will position the wheel in the wheel opening for maximum clearance. Ball joint angles are repositioned to prevent binding.

A steel plate provides a strong attachment for the CoolRide air spring and a dedicated shock tab is welded to the rear leg of the arm.

Geometry – Properly designed control arms will add more positive caster (without a pile of shims) and will position the wheel in the wheel opening for maximum clearance. Ball joint angles are repositioned to prevent binding.

FULL C10 CROSSMEMBER KITS

This is a great way to overhaul your suspension in one go, giving you adjustable ride height to achieve the perfect stance with up to 8” of drop. All while dialing in the ideal ride quality and performance for your application while reducing weight by 140 lbs. over stock.

Rack and Pinion Steering

Powered rack-and-pinion offers quicker steering and a tighter feel. Plus, increase steering angle when fitting larger wheels and tires, and improve geometry for enhanced drivability.

Increased Ground Clearance

The crossmember and control arms make your undercab rails the truck’s lowest point. Adjustable upper shock mounts increase travel for a great ride and performance, even at low ride heights.

Adjustable Shock Valving

Choose from three shock options to achieve your ideal balance of adjustability, ride quality and performance

Single-adjustable shocks make it easy to tune your ride quality in seconds with the twist of a knob.
Double-adjustable shocks offer independent rebound and compression tunability. Great for trucks that will see track time or drivers who really want to dial in ride quality on the street.
MOD Series shocks offer advanced high-speed and low-speed adjustment for maximum tunability. The modular valve packs and force curves are made for top-tier drag racing and pro touring drivers.

Easy, Bolt-In Installation

The crossmember comes powder coated and ready to install. No need to cut or weld your frame. It easily locates the steering rack, and you can choose mounts (sold separately) for common engines.

Modular Engine Mounts

Choose from modular engine mounts (sold separately) that allow you to reuse your existing transmission mount and driveshaft. Kits are available for small block Chevy, big block Chevy and LS applications. DIY mounts are also available if you want to customize the location of your engine.

You’re building your truck for a purpose, paying attention to every detail, every connection, and every movement. We built our system this way, too. With this all-new, engineered-from-scratch system, you can stop using junkyard parts to modernize your pickup and can bolt in the handling and performance you’ve always wanted. Designed specifically for 65-79 F-100s, the front system is 3.75″ narrower than a Crown Vic, providing ideal handling and allowing fitment of larger wheels and tires. The system also saves 150 lbs of weight and provides 3″ to 5″ of drop with standard spindles and 5″ to 7″ with drop spindles. Everything you need is included, all the way down to the hardware. In addition to double- or single-adjustable shocks and high travel springs, you get upper and lower control arms, upper and lower crossmembers, rack and pinion steering, and stock or drop spindles. All components included in these systems are proudly made in QA1’s Lakeville, Minnesota facility. All QA1 shocks are 100% dyno tested and serialized.

1988-1998 Chevy C1500 QA1 Front Coil-Over Kit

QA1’s Level 3 front coil-over conversion for the C1500 integrates control arms with a new upper control arm mount and coil-over shocks to provide up to 6″ drop (with the use of popular drop spindles; 2″ to 4″ without) and allow room for wider wheels and tires. These systems include double adjustable full coil-over shocks so you can have ride height adjustability and change the valving to meet your specific needs. This version provides enhanced geometry by the new bolt-in upper control arm mount, which reduces anti-dive and ties in the upper shock mount. All QA1 shocks are 100% dyno tested and serialized. Coil-over hardware and all required nuts, bolts, etc. are included. Made in the USA.

With adjustable ride height and up to 5″ drop with the use of popular drop spindles, these front control arm suspension kits for 63-87 C10 trucks help you find the right stance without the expense of buying a chassis or full front end. The coil-over shocks are offered in single or double adjustable valving options and come with high travel springs available in three spring rate options. The upper and lower control arms together provide up to 7 degrees of increased caster for more stability and driveability. This front coil-over conversion kit includes upper and lower control arms, double adjustable shocks, high travel springs, upper bracket, and all hardware.

Will lay up to a 33" tall tire. Kit is designed to use drop spindles and 2500 rotors. Trimming of the spring pocket for bag clearance and tie rod notching needed.

NO NEED TO CUT THE BOTTOM OF THE FRAME FOR CONTROL ARM CLEARANCE.

Use STOCK spindles when running 22" wheels.

Use DROP spindles when running 24" wheels.

Kit includes:

**You will need to pocket the frame for the shock mounts. The frame will also need notched for clearance of the Tie Rod steering kit.**
